SAFEGUARDING CODE

The Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts has been created to define actions taken, to protect individuals, children and vulnerable groups. Working with vulnerable adults is very rewarding but it comes with many responsibilities. As an Organisation we have a duty of care to protect our students from abuse/neglect and a responsibility to protect their basic human rights.

Any martial arts organisation in England who has achieved the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts has successfully demonstrated a good working knowledge of quality safeguarding practices to reassure individuals and parents. The organisation currently has the following in place:

• DBS Check – Disclosure and Barring Service Check
• Fully Qualified Instructors
• A Safeguarding policy
• First Aid Trained
• Insurance Documentation

We have all the policies/documentation available upon request. All the instructors at Z’s Defence Academy have all the relevant training/qualifications required to teach individuals and groups of people.

We are proud to have all the policies and procedures in place to achieve the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts.
