Ben Nevis – Highest mountain in Scotland

Ben Nevis is the king of all mountains, it is situated near Fort William and the highest mountain in the British Isles. For climbers and mountaineers, the main attraction lies in the 600-metre (2,000 ft) high cliffs. This route is not sign posted very well and due to this people have lost their lives climbing this mountain.

I attempted to complete this on two different occasions and unfortunately due to extreme weather conditions was not successful. I didn’t lose hope and attempted this the third time round managing to successfully reach the summit. This was the hardest hike I have ever attempted. This took a lot of determination and I managed to complete this in 7 hours with a clear sky and breath taking scenery.

Snowdon – Highest mountain in Wales

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales. It’s very well-known and is well worth a visit. This mountain has spectacular scenery as well as a train travelling up for the people who wish to take a relaxed ride.

I completed this walk with my best friend within the targeted timescale. This was a long walk with a few ascents involving steps which was a struggle. Once we reached the summit the difficulties and pain disappeared as we felt overwhelmed in the accomplishment of completing the hike.

Scafell Pike – Highest mountain in England

Scafell Pike was a great challenge, it has been described as exhilaratingbeautiful and breath-taking. When you visit, it won’t take long for you to discover the beauty of this great mountain. The climb to the top should not be underestimated as its 978 meters. This is England’s highest mountain and also includes a war memorial.

I completed this walk on my 28th birthday which was a lovely surprise from my beloved friends. This was a challenging walk and there were very steep parts to climb. The weather had changed drastically towards the top but that still didn’t stop us reaching our goal. I enjoyed my slice of birthday cake at the summit to celebrate my achievement.
